Description

LED Light Emergency Power Supply VIDEX VL-EMM-L23 is designed to provide backup power to luminaires during power outages. It operates using two built-in lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 2200mAh each. It is used for lamps and luminaires with their own driver without galvanic isolation. In emergency mode (when the mains power is cut off), it provides continuous power for lighting with a power of up to 3W for up to 3.5 hours.

It has 3 operating modes. The set includes a test cable used to check proper functioning in emergency mode. The power supply  has built-in batteries that can be replaced if necessary. Battery replacement must be performed only by a qualified specialist.

INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION
Before installation, be sure to read the user manual. Installation must be carried out by a qualified specialist. All work must be done with the power supply disconnected. Select the desired operating mode of the module and install and connect it according to the wiring diagrams in the manual:
I. Always off – the light remains off while mains power is available. In case of a power outage, it switches to emergency mode and remains on until the battery is fully discharged.
II. Always on – the light remains on while mains power is available. During a power outage, it switches to emergency mode until the battery is fully discharged.
III. Switch control – the light can be turned on or off using a standard wall switch during normal operation. Regardless of the switch position, the emergency function activates automatically in case of a power outage.

Before first use, check the mechanical mounting and connections for correctness. The product may only be used in electrical networks that meet energy requirements and quality standards established by law.

ATTENTION! The polarity of the power source must strictly correspond to the electrical connection diagram. Incorrect polarity may cause damage to the device or loss of functionality.

INDICATOR OPERATION DESCRIPTION
The module body includes an indicator that remains on during normal operation and turns off when emergency mode is activated:
1) The indicator lights green continuously: the battery is fully charged.
2) The indicator lights red continuously: the battery is charging.
3) The indicator flashes red: a malfunction has been detected.
4) The indicator is off: emergency mode is active.

EMERGENCY MODE FUNCTION CHECK
This module includes a test cable designed to check proper operation in emergency mode. There are two ways to test if the emergency functions work correctly:

- Method 1. Triple-press test (manual switching mode):
Press the test button three times. The green indicator will flash, and the module will switch to emergency mode. Press and hold the test button for 2 seconds to exit emergency mode.

- Method 2. Short-term test (automatic return mode):
Press and hold the test button to activate emergency mode. Release the test button to exit emergency mode.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
1. Battery replacement must be carried out by a qualified specialist according to the instructions. Before replacement, disconnect the power supply and disconnect the emergency module from both the LED luminaire and the mains.
2. If the product is to be stored for a long period, fully charge the battery. Do not store the product with a discharged battery, as this will cause irreversible damage.
3. Do not use the product with damaged wiring or connection points.
4. Clean the product only with soft and dry cloths. Do not use chemical or abrasive cleaning agents.
5. Do not cover the product; ensure free air circulation.
6. The product must not be used in adverse conditions, such as dust, water, humidity, vibration, explosive atmospheres, fumes, or chemical vapors, etc.
